TrueGrid® Training Videos



    In the following list of videos, you can select from two formats. The WMV format is native to WINDOWS. The MP4 format is a standard format requiring a movie player such as RealPlayer. RealPlayer is free and available for many systems. Select the appropriate file(s), download, and play the video. The files can get quite large, depending on the topic, so be sure to check that you have enough disc space if you are going to store the file(s).

    The resolution of these files is unusually high for a video that you might download from the intenet. This is needed because the graphics for a mesh with many fine lines does not work well in lower resolutionis. Unfortunately, lower resolution devices such as cell phones and tablets may not be able to run these videos.

    TrueGrid® Demonstration - Short Course Vol. 1 (duration 50 min. 10 sec.)

    The first in a series of videos treaching the basics of TrueGrid®. In this video, a significant mesh is created from start to finish with comments and explainations to motivate the new user. This is a great place to start if you are new to TrueGrid®.

    As an exercise, download the session file and the associated CAD IGES file and build this model by using this session file as your command file to TrueGrid®. Of course, this assumes you have have installed and authorized TrueGrid® on your computer. If you have not, contact XYZ Scientific Applications for a free 60 day trial.

  • Automatic Variable Thickness Shells (duration 10 min. 50 sec.)

    This demonstrates a sheet of shell elements placed midway between two sets of surfaces and assigned shell thicknesses to match the varying thickness between the two sets of surfaces.
